From a young age I have enjoyed working with children whether it was teaching swim lessons or coaching t-ball. Children with chronic health conditions have been my inspiration to build my skills as a pediatric physical therapist. They have taught me the importance of resilience and courage despite potential limitations. There is nothing more meaningful to me than watching a child learn a new skill or overcome a challenge. My passion is empowering children and their families with the resources to lead full lives.
I have had the good fortune to work with children and youth for most of my 17 year career in both the medical and educational settings. My years in clinical practice led me to pursue a career in higher education. In addition to my private practice I am full-time faculty in the DPT program at the University of New England preparing the next generation of PTs. When I am not working I enjoy being active with my husband and 2 children.
